SUMMARY
OF NOTICE
Please read/complete all documents carefully!!
The Newark, Ohio Civil Service Commission will conduct
an examination September 6,
2008 at the C-Tec Career and Technology
Center, 150 Price Road, Newark, Ohio 43055, at 9 A.M.
for the entry-level position of Firefighter/Paramedic
with the Newark, Ohio Fire Department. The examination
shall consist of two parts.
- Part 1:
Written Examination (Which shall consist of 200
multiple choice Fire, EMS, and grammar questions)
Candidates must achieve a score of 70% correct
answers or greater to pass Part 1 of the examination
process.
- Part 2:
Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)- Candidates
must successfully complete the CPAT in 10 minutes 20
seconds or less to pass Part 2 of the examination
process.
Candidates must
pass both portions of the examination (Written Exam &
CPAT) to be considered for appointment to the position.
Details of the CPAT, qualifications for the position,
and disqualifying factors for the position will be made
available to the applicants when they receive the
application package.
